Best Mid To Late Game Talismans In Elden Ring
Great-Jar’s Arsenal Talisman
The Great-Jar’s Arsenal is an excellent talisman that offers a massive increase to your maximum equip load. The best part about this talisman is that you can acquire this during the early-to-mid game, and can continue using it till the end of the game; it is that good.
Description | A charm that resembles great jar overflowing with weapons, contain boosts maximum equipment load |
Location | Rewarded by Great Jar, after defeating 3 Great Jar’s Warriors in Greyoll’s Dragonbarrow. |
Weight | 1.5 |
Sell Price | 1000 |
Effects | Raises maximum equipment load by 19% |
The effect a tarnished one gets after equipping the Great-Jar’s Arsenal talisman is that it vastly raises the overall equip load. If we had to put a number on it, then it is a massive 19% extra equip load you get after acquiring and equipping this excellent talisman during the early-to-mid game in Elden Ring.
The potential is vast when it comes to utilizing the effects of Great-Jar’s Arsenal. Players can go with a glass cannon build that focuses on high damage and less defense, increasing character attributes. Equipping this talisman will allow them to wear a heavy armor set or set pieces that will indirectly increase the overall defense, reducing the chances of getting one-shot or two-shot by bosses in Elden Ring.
Location
If you’ve not got Great-Jar’s Arsenal Talisman in Elden Ring so far and you’re still in the early game, then we suggest you visit the Siofra Deep River and then take the secret passage that leads you towards Dragonbarrow, north of Caelid. Here is an image that highlights where you’re supposed to go in order to acquire Great-Jar’s Arsenal Talisman in Elden Ring.

Once you’re at the location we’ve mentioned in the image, you will come across a humongous-sized NPC, which looks more or less like Alexander. You must interact with this NPC and exhaust all dialogues. After that, you will see three red summon signs on the ground, indicating that you will need to summon each one of them and kill them in order to progress this short questline and acquire the Great-Jar’s Arsenal talisman in Elden Ring.
Killing all three will reward you with Great-Jar’s Arsenal Talisman in Elden Ring, and from this point on you will be able to wear 19% extra of your equip load. Also, even if you’ve Arsenal Charm or Arsenal Charm +1, which are inferior versions of Great-Jar’s Arsenal talisman, the overall equip load effects do not stack.
Carian Filigreed Crest
The game has so many main, field, and optional bosses that are weak against magic damage. However, since the release of Elden Ring, the FP cost of casting the sorcery spells has been somewhat high than it should have been. Luckily players found out that the Carian Filigreed Crest talisman significantly reduces or lowers the overall FP cost when you use skills, be it weapon kills or casting the sorcery spells in Elden Ring.
Description | A talisman adorned with Royal crest |
Location | Obtain from Iji the Smith for 5000 Tunes when browsing his wares |
Weight | 0.8 |
Sell Price | 1000 |
Effects | Reduce 25% FP consumed by skills |
Using Carian Filigreed Crest before Patch 1.03 in Elden Ring was already an excellent idea to rely heavily on magic builds in the game. However, the patch addressed the concerns of many sorcery-build players that the FP cost of magic spells is way higher than it should be. Now, after the patch, using Carian Filigreed Crest offers an even much better skill effect than most magic-oriented talismans in Elden Ring.
If you had to put a number on it, then the Carian Filigreed Crest talisman reduces the FP consumption by 25%, which means that even if you’ve invested little into the Mind Character attribute of your tarnished character, you will still be able to use skills or more because FP cost is reduced by one-fourth on every usage.
Location
The best part about the Carian Filigreed Crest talisman in Elden Ring is that you can acquire it during the mid-game if you interact a little with Blaidd and do a few steps of the quest, then bypass Stormveil Castle to reach the road that leads to Caria Manor. Players will need to purchase this talisman from War Counselor Iji, who happens to be a Blacksmith and a quest NPC as well.
There are multiple instances that we’ve tested and found two scenarios in which you can purchase the Carian Filigreed Crest talisman from War Counselor Iji. One, this NPC stocks the item when you visit him the first time; however, in our NG+, we found out that the NPC does not have the item in stock until you complete Blaidd quest of killing Bloodhound Knight Darriwil. Here is an image for your reference to find Bloodhound Knight Darriwil.

This mini-boss can be found in Limgrave, Forlon Hound Evergaol, and after beating him, you will find Blaidd waiting for you. Interact with him, and he will ask you to inform War Counselor Iji that Blaidd sent you. Once you reach the Iji and click on this unique dialogue, the NPC will stock the Carian Filigreed Crest talisman for you to purchase. If you don’t know where to find Iji, here is an image for your reference.

Flock’s Canvas Talisman
All players who heavily rely on ranged, AoE, or direct damage-dealing offensive incantations can increase the overall damage-dealing properties by equipping Flock’s Canvas Talisman. We respeced our mage build into Faith Build and have relied on this talisman for a good amount of time during our first playthrough in Elden Ring.
Description | A Talisman that depicts a mass of masked figure, represents the flock at prayer |
Location | Obtained from Sage Gowry in Caelid, South of Sellia, Town of Sorcery |
Weight | 1.0 |
Sell Price | 2000 |
Effects | Raise potency of Incantation |
Flock’s Canvas Talisman is a superior item to another talisman that offers the same perks but with a much lower overall damage percentage. Players can get Faithful’s Canvas Talisman during mid-game, and it is decent but not the best talisman for players who rely on incantations in Elden Ring. Where Faithful’s Canvas Talisman offers 4% bonus damage to all incantations, Flock’s Canvas Talisman offers an 8% increase in incantations potency.
Having this talisman coupled with other Holy, lightning, fire-oriented scorpion charms will significantly increase the overall elemental damage of your melee weapons and also the incantations as well. However, the overall potency of incantations Flock’s Canvas Talisman offers only applies to most of the offensive spells and not the support ones. Golden Vow, Erdtree’s Blessings, and many other support incantations will not get benefit from you equipping the Flock’s Canvas Talisman in Elden Ring.
Location
To obtain Flock’s Canvas Talisman, players will need to visit the eastern part of Caelid and find an NPC who goes by the name Gowry. He can be found in Gowry’s Shack located to the right, a little before you go towards Sellia, Town of Sorcery. During your first interaction with the NPC, he will talk about the rotting Millicent has and how he needs a key item to cure her. Here is an image if you want to locate Gowry in eastern Caelid.

A little further from Gowry’s Shack to the left, you will encounter Commander O’Neil, and killing this field boss will grant you the Unalloyed Gold Needle item. Take this item back to Gowry, and he will ask you to heal Millicent, who happens to be in a church past the Sellia town.
This starts the Millicent questline and completing it will reward you with Flock’s Canvas Talisman eventually at the end when you visit Gowry, he will be found dead. If you don’t want to complete Millicent’s questline, then Killing Gowry after interacting with Millicent will also get you the Flock’s Canvas Talisman.
Godfrey Icon
The Godfrey Icon is another best talisman in Elden Ring for mid-to-late game usage. If you’re running spells or incantations that have an alternate charged version that deals massive damage compared to the regular or quick-fire version, then you must not sleep on the Godfrey Icon talisman. It is because this talisman increases the overall damage capacity of spells and incantations that are charged and released or fired on enemies or bosses.
Description | Legendary talisman depicting the Elden Lord Godfrey |
Location | Obtain from the Golden Limeage Evergaol by defeating Godefroy the Grafted, in Southern Altus Plateau |
Weight | 0.8 |
Sell Price | 1000 |
Effects | Enhances the damage of charged spells and skills by 15% |
The overall damage increase that players can get out after using Godfrey Icon is 15%, which is decent considering most charged spells and skills are ranged attacks. The beauty of using ranged attacks, spells, or incantations in Elden Ring is that you get to be out of harm’s way instead of dealing melee damage that puts you in a dangerous position, especially while fighting a single overpowered boss on multiple bosses such as Godskin Duo.
Location
Players can acquire Godfrey Icon during mid-game when they interact with Grand Lift of Dectus after collecting both halves of the Dectus Medallion in Elden Ring. After reaching Altus Plateau, go to your right, below the cliff, and you will spot their Golden Lineage Evergaol.
You will be required to use a stone sword key to break the imp statue, steal and enter the Evergaol to face the boss, Godefroy the Grafted. Here is the location for Golden Lineage Evergaol that you need to visit and beat the boss to receive the Godfrey Icon talisman.

Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman
When it comes to picking the best talisman in Elden Ring under the defense category, the Dragoncrest Greatshield talisman comes first to our mind. This is by far the top-tier talisman that reduces the overall damage you take from an incoming attack, be it a slash, strike, or a charged one.
Description | A Wrought iron talisman depicting an ancient dragon that ruled in the prehistoric era before Erdtree, to protect their lord |
Location | Obtain from a corpse which lies on the ground, near Bestial Sanctum, in northern Greyoll’s Dragonbarrow |
Weight | 0.8 |
Sell Price | 100 |
Effects | Boosts +10% damage reduction |
If you want to know precisely how much damage the Dragoncrest Greatshield talisman reduces, then you’d be surprised to learn that 20% of incoming attacks gets reduced whenever you’ve equipped this talisman. However, any or all damage that you take from elements such as fire, lightning, poison, fire, black flame, magic, and other types will have zero effects on this talisman. It is because only the physical damage is reduced by 20%, not the elemental one.
Location
The talisman can be obtained from Miquella’s Haligtree. Assuming you have the complete Haligtree Medallion, now, head over to Grand Lift of Rold, and before you hoist your other regular medallion, which will take you to the Mountaintops of the Giants, you must scroll the option and select “Hoist Secret Medallion”. Doing so will prompt you to hoist the Haligtree Medallion, which will take you to the Consecrated Snowyfield.
Once you’re there, you will need to reach Ordina, Liturgical Town, and enter its Evergaol. Entering this will put you into a puzzle-solving arena, which will later open a room that was previously shut by a seal. Behind this door is a teleporting device that takes you to Miquella’s Haligtree location. You need to traverse from this point to Elphael, Brace of the Haligree.
The Dragoncrest Greatshield talisman can be obtained by visiting the large building located on the northeast side of town and will be guarded by several insect-like enemies, more like pests.

Players who have invested fewer runes into leveling up Endurance will find the proper usage of this talisman; albeit it’s a late game, still its effects are incredible. While running with our Comet Azur build and rocking the lightest armor during the Mid-to-late game, we found the Dragoncrest Greatshield talisman as the best talisman in Elden Ring if you’re a magic build player in the game.
Shard of Alexander
If you are looking for the best talisman that greatly boosts the attack power of your melee, ranged weapon skills, then the Shard of Alexander will not disappoint you. Equipping this item gives you a massive boost when you press L2/LT while equipping a weapon. The usage of Shard of Alexander varies from weapon to weapon, and not all skills get buff by this talisman; at least, this is what we observed while using the roar skill of hammer.
Description | A shard of the late Alexander, a shattered warrior jar |
Location | Obtain from Iron Fist Alexander, by defeating him in northwest Crumbling Farum Azula |
Weight | 0.9 |
Sell Price | 1000 |
Effects | Boosts the attack power of skills by 15% |
Whatever the case be, Shard of Alexander is excellent if you’re running with a melee build or a mid-to-late game strength build in Elden Ring. Moreover, if your choice of the weapon relies heavily on skills, then you will surely utilize the massive boost Shard of Alexander offers.
Unfortunately, getting the Shard of Alexander is a little tricky and can be obtained quite late game in Elden Ring. Moreover, you will also need to progress Iron Fist Alexander’s questline by showing up at a couple of places in the Lands Between, interacting with this giant warrior, and maybe doing one or two chores for him.
If you try to kill Alexander anywhere else before Crumbling Farum Azula, the maximum chances are that you will get a much inferior variant of the Shard of Alexander talisman called Warrior Jar Shard. This talisman also boosts the attack power of skills, but it only does increase the attack power by 10% only.
However, the Shard of Alexander talisman increases the overall attack power of skills by 15%, which is excellent, and players have used this talisman to create unique builds that otherwise would be nothing without the Shard of Alexander talisman in Elden Ring.
Location
You will need to duel and defeat Iron Fist Alexander in Crumbling Farum Azula, and once you beat him, this mighty warrior will die and break into pieces, yielding the rewards; Shard of Alexander and Alexander’s Innards.
We have covered a separate Elden Ring Shard of Alexander guide entailing the complete questline of how and where to interact with this NPC first and how to progress the questline so that you can get the Shard of Alexander once you reach the late game in Elden Ring. Make sure you read our guide and get the most of this talisman in the late game. You can even use it for doing a massive amount of damage in Co-op PvE or dueling opponents in PvP.
Claw Talisman
Melee builds have been one of the strongest elements in soulsborne series of games, and there has always been a wide variety of weapons to pick and make build around them. Elden Ring is no exception, as there is an enormous library of melee weapons that players can utilize and make crazy melee, strength, and dexterity builds.
Description | A Talisman depicting a claw and an assassin, while the assassins if Ravenmount are killers by trade |
Location | Located on a high tower surrounded by eagles, found on a corpse in Stromveil Castle |
Weight | 0.7 |
Sell Price | 500 |
Effects | Enhance jump attacks |
For players who like to fancy colossal swords, great hammers, and other very heavy weapons should look for the Claw Talisman, as this is by far the best talisman in Elden Ring for melee builds. Most heavy weapon users do not rely on dealing damage via slow yet heavy swings of weapons.
Instead, they rely on doing jump attacks which are easy to execute, take less time, and more or less deal high damage than swings; at least that is the case if you have certain armor set piece and Claw Talisman.
When it comes to equipping Claw Talisman, players must equip the heaviest weapon they have in their inventory, power stance it or dual wield it and another weapon of the same category, and unleash wrath by doing jump attacks. Power stancing, jump attacking is the go-to mantra if you are rocking the heaviest weapons in Elden Ring, and that is where Claw Talisman shows its effectiveness.
Location
The best part about using the Claw Talisman in Elden Ring is that you can acquire this best talisman in Elden Ring in very early game. Once you have beaten Margitt the Fell Omen and have reached the inner walls of Stormveil Castle, you are not far from obtaining Claw Talisman in Elden Ring.
The talisman is located on a corpse that requires a little platforming to reach. The nearest Site of Grace that can lead you towards Claw Talisman’s location is the Rampart Site of Grace. Once you’re there, exit the door to your right and do not go to your left. Instead, take a jump onto the rooftop of the next building in front of you. Hug the wall and start moving towards the right.
Then, you will have the option to go down or walk straight that takes you up. Ignore going right, and go up, and there you will again need to hug the wall and exit it at the end. You will come across a ladder that will take you towards the corpse containing the Claw Talisman.
Taker’s Cameo
Elden Ring has tons of crazy builds, and many of these unique builds are made after a few talismans combining with certain weapons having the same effects. If you’ve been seeing Vampire build in Elden Ring videos circulating on the web, then know that talismans like Taker’s Cameo are the back bone of such builds.
Description | A Talisman carved with a stern of Praetor Rykard, master of Volcano Manor |
Location | Obtained from Tanith in Volcano Manor in central Mt. Gelmir |
Weight | 1.0 |
Sell Price | 1000 |
Effects | Restores 3% maximum HP upon defeating different enemies |
This talisman basically steals enemies’ life force whenever you kill them and in return, replenishes a certain amount of your health. If you want to have this life stealing kind of a playstyle, then read our Elden Ring Vampire build guide and become the ultimate life sucking tarnished one in the game.
When it comes to picking a talisman that restores HP on kill, we think Taker’s Cameo is the best talisman in Elden Ring and has no parallel. Upon equipping the Taker’s Cameo and killing an enemy, you will heal 3% of your max HP along with 30 HP flat per kill.
Location
This item is, of course, a mid-game talisman that you can acquire after reaching Volcano Manor and being awarded by Tanith after completing a questline that involves summoning a duelist and killing it.
In order to get the Taker’s Cameo reward from Tanith, you will need to interact with the NPC and agree to join the Volcano Manor family when asked for it. After that, you will be rewarded with a Drawing Room key, which will give you access to open more days and interact with the rest of the NPCs residing in the Volcano Manor. You will come across Patches, Rya, and a few more.
After that, when you find Rya in a room, you will also come across a letter titled “Letter From Volcano Manor” placed on the table along with a unique item called Recusant Finger. Acquiring both items and heading back towards Tanith will trigger the quest line of assassinating three targets, after which you will be rewarded with the Taker’s Cameo Talisman.
Godskin Swaddling Cloth
The Godskin Swaddling Cloth is another excellent talisman that offers HP regeneration on successive attacks instead of killing enemies as Taker’s Cameo worked. If you were to look for the second best talisman in Elden Ring under the HP regeneration category, we think Godskin Swaddling Cloth is it. Besides, you can use this talisman along with Taker’s Cameo for maximum HP regeneration in the Elden Ring.
Description | A sacred cloth of Godskin Apostles, created from supple skin sewn |
Location | Obtain from the Spiritcaller’s Cave by defeating all of the bosses at the end of the dungeon, in northeastern Mountaintops of the Giants |
Weight | 0.9 |
Sell Price | 1000 |
Effects | Provides a good amount 3% healing of Maximum HP Provides healing of +30% upon every 3 to 7 hits by melee attacks |
However, Taker’s Cameo is better when it comes to killing enemies and recovering the lost health and it is poor during boss fights because the effect only triggers after killing a target. That is why Godskin Swaddling Cloth is a better alternative while fighting bosses.
Additionally, the successive hits for which the Godskin Swaddling Cloth’s unique effect triggers is only applied for the melee-based attacks. If you use spells or incantations to deal successive damage, then the effect will not be triggered. This is why most melee or strength build players will find an excellent usage of Godskin Swaddling Cloth, should they’ve obtained this talisman already.
If you want to know what percentage of HP players can get back after equipping the talisman and dealing with successive attacks on enemies, then know that you will heal 3% of your HP plus a flat 30 HP. So, at 1900 HP, except to get 57 plus 30 HP whenever Godskin Swaddling Cloth talisman’s effect triggers.
Also, players are not obligated to keep hitting a single target for the effect to trigger, and you can pretty much do AoE attacks of greatswords or deal direct one-on-one damage while using small yet fast weapons such as daggers and rapier. Also, if you do not hit any enemy for 10 seconds, then the proc will reset.
Location
If you want to acquire this unique HP regenerating talisman in Elden Ring, then you will need to reach the Mountaintops of the Giants area. Once You’re there, to the right of the frozen lake will be an imp statue.
You stonesword key and deactivate the fog wall. This will be the entrance of Spiritcaller Cave. Defeating Godskin Apostle and Godskin Noble in a back-to-back fight will give you Godskin Swaddling Cloth talisman as a reward.

This is yet again another excellent item if you want to make a build in Elden Ring that focuses on HP regeneration. You can use Godskin Swaddling Cloth, Taker’s Cameo, and Rykard Lord of Blasphemy’s Blasphemous Blade and create an excellent build.
Also, doing so will also potentially replace all of your Crimson flasks with Cerulean flasks because you will hardly feel to need to replenish your lost HP by consuming the Crimson flask.
Erdtree’s Favor +2
Erdtree’s Favor +2 is a much better version of the early game Erdtree’s Favor talisman, as the late game + 2 variant increases the overall HP, stamina, and equip load much higher than the base version. We’ve already mentioned Erdtree’s Favor (standard version) in our guide below under the best early game talismans.
Since this talisman is one of the best talismans in Elden Ring that boosts HP, Stamina and Equip load, we think you should have Erdtree’s Favor +2 talisman once you reach the end-game content.
Description | A Talisman depicting blessing of the Erdtree, bestowed upon their recipients by Queen Marika |
Location | Obtained from a corpse in Leyndell, in Ashen Capital |
Weight | 1.5 |
Sell Price | 300 |
Effects | Gives greatly raises +4% HP, +9.6% stamina and +8% quip load |
In order to find this talisman in the late game, you must first reach the Leyndell, Ashen Capital in Elden Ring. To reach Leyndell, Ashen Capital, you will need to reach Crumbling Farum Azula’s final boss: Maliketh, the Black Blade. Defeating this boss will take you immediately to Leyndell, Ashen Capital, and this will be the second point of no return.
Moving on to finding Erdtree’s Favor +2 talisman in Elden Ring, once you’re in the Leyndell, Ashen Remains, open your map and spawn at Forbidden lands Site of Grace which you accessed after beating Morgott the Omen King.
After that, take the elevator up and walk the long corridor that has a knight riding on the horse and a few enemies. After that, you’d come across another elevator that will take you down. Once you’re down and back to old Leyndell Royal Capital’s area, take the stairs, and you will come across three Lesser Ulcerated Tree Spirits. The Erdtree’s Favor +2 item will be at the far end, placed on top of a pillar.

Equipping Erdtree’s Favor +2 talisman will grant your character an increase of 4% HP, 9.6% increase in Stamina, and an 8% increase in overall equip load. This is excellent as you will get at three character attributes increasing by just equipping a single talisman.
This is why when it comes to the end game best talisman in Elden Ring, we think Erdtree’s Favor +2 takes the cake. Which end-game talisman has been your favorite in the game? Did you find this talisman on your own? Let us know more of your thoughts in the comments section below.
