As you’d already anticipated from a Souls game, Eldin Ring bolsters a plethora of challenging bosses to keep you always on the edge of your game seat. When you’re gearing up to enter the Elden Ring field, you might want to consider what’s the best class and build for your playing approach, but the intense storyline you are about to enter also expects from you some knowledge of its lethal enemies too! Hence here’s an Elden Ring Bosses Tier List for that.
Bosses in Elden Ring are robust oppositions that boast challenging experiences in the game. No matter what fight you end up in, every player is required to deal with frightening, or probably weird-looking, bosses to progress through the game’s epic storyline. Therefore we have graded all the potential bosses of the Eldin Ring, keeping in mind who can give you a tough time and who lays flat with just a single sword-sweep.
Moreover, the tier list discusses a few tips for each boss mentioned below to help you survive more effortlessly.

Eldin Ring Bosses Tier List

Before we start with our Elden Ring Bosses tier list, it’s better to be known that the list contains almost all Elden Ring bosses but not all, as it only talks about the ones that we have encountered ourselves.
Since Elden Ring is a new launch, we as gamers are halfway there in the storyline and will keep updating our posts with new experiences as soon as we have been through them.
Therefore keep on checking out the Eldin Ring Bosses list to stay updated with all discoveries. It’s’ also important for you to understand that we have raked units into three tiers:
Tier-S: It carries the most brutal opposing forces the Elden Ring players might encounter across the entire battlefield. They are incredibly aggressive and house more than a few clever moves that might leave you astonished while your in-game health diminishes rapidly. An intelligent approach and a good combination of builds are required to outclass these foes.
Tier-A: These bosses are relatively calm than those who sit in the S-Tier. Though these units also specialize in rendering a great deal of damage to the target, most players will still overcome them due to their evident weaknesses.
Tier-B: Bosses of this category are not very lethal nor neglectable. They still have good attacking capabilities; however, veteran players can easily outclass them. Even new players can kill Tier-B bosses almost instantly. These bosses do not bolster any exceptional action display and are graded relatively easier to tackle.
This was all to get you started with the roster of Elden Ring Bosses. Without further delay, let’s dive right into it!
Elden Ring Demigod Bosses Tier List

The massive collection of antagonists in Elden Ring is divided into categories, and the Demigods make up the most major of them. They populate most of the main Elden Ring story and are the toughest to outnumber.
If you crave your spot as the Elden Lord, then Demigods are the bosses that lore will also instruct you to battle with.
Demigods heavily rely on cutscenes for preceding and transiting into the next phase of the fight. Here are all the Demigods you’ll have to encounter in the Elden Ring to pass through. We have ranked each one according to their difficulty level.
Weaker candidates are graded lower, meaning bosses being placed at high ranks are the ones you should be scared of. Please don’t fret, though, as we have also shared some tips and tricks for your help. Below is Elden Ring Main Bosses Tier List.
Tier | Elden Ring Boss | Short Description |
S | Godrick the Grafted | Godrick the Grafted rules the Stormveil Castle of the Elden Ring and is the final hindrance that players must overcome in order to proceed through the arena. You can also opt to fight him later in the game, but it’s recommended to deal with him before as the Elden Ring pathway ahead isn’t short of mighty bosses. This Boss has massive health to survive multiple attacks and retaliate with great force. During the first phase, Godrick the Grafted typically manifests melee attacks topped with long-range whirlwinds. If a player manages to drop his stubborn health rate to 50%, Godrick will launch a fire-breathing dragon-arm to give off even more attacks/AOE/fire. Make the most of this phase as it is probably the best time to attack him from behind. If you succeed in hitting, it’s best to wield a combo to delay Godrick’s lethal retaliation and swell your damage output Because multiplayer is allowed in case of this Demigod, we recommend opting for that. Use Spirit Summons to distract the boss so that most of his attacks don’t always come towards you. Godrick the Grafted drops Remembrance of The Grafted when defeated. |
S | Starscourge Radahn | The massively destructive Starscourge Radahn makes players experience one of the most ambitious and unique boss fights of the Elden Ring. He is located in Caelid and can not be delayed to a later part of the game like Godrick. It’s necessary to kill Starscourge Radahn in order to enter the Legacy Dungeon. A fight with him is more of a raid than an ordinary Elden Ring fight where players can summon a couple of non-playable characters (NPCs) for help. Though you can ally with up to 6 NPCs, don’t think that this will make Starscourge Radahn any easier. The boss will start by projecting his gravity spell-infused arrows from far away, attempting to kill one player with just one shot. We recommend engaging only till you have got at least 3 NPCs alive. As soon as they die, disengage immediately to find summon signs in order to re-gather more NPCs. The most helpful strategy of outclassing Radhn is patience. Stay calm and instruct the NPCs to attack while circling to the boss’s back. Look for spaces between Radahn’s attack pattern to get a little closer. But if you equip ranged weapons, try attacking from a distance. While the NPCs remain his immediate attention, you should swipe at its legs. To achieve a more straightforward chance for making a critical hit, break Radahn’s Poise. |
S | Margott The Omen King | Again, this boss is not an optional enemy and must be killed to reach the Legacy Dungeon. Players will come across Margott at Leyndell, Royal Capital. Margott even has its look-alike– Margit The Fell Omen– back in Stormveil; however, you need to understand this for a fact that they are very different in terms of difficulty. Anyways, Margott can manifest every attack you might have encountered when fighting his twin boss. Players will first have to deal with his massive hammer spell, via which the boss initiates swooping right from the very beginning. The critical approach of handling the hammer is to keep your distance and summon an NPC with massive hammer attack-bearing abilities. We recommend opting for Melissa. While Margott engages with the NPC, you’ll have to give your best in slashing and attacking from behind in order to render substantial hits before retreating again. When you see Margott at a distance, don’t miss the opportunity to make the most of your Ashes of War abilities. For instance, the Storm Blade might work elegantly well due to its extended reach capacity. All in all, it’s essential to understand that you should remain aggressive every time as running away while hoping for a miracle to happen will only spell doom. |
S | Godfrey First Elden Lord | Godfrey is yet another antagonist of the Elden Ring whom you will see in the Leyndell, Royal Capital, after beating the Demigod Morgott. He is arguably as challenging as the boss before him because of his passive aggression. However, one good news is that his first phase is a little slow, ultimately giving you more space to prepare for the second one. Nevertheless, the first one isn’t entirely ignorable if that’s what you are thinking. Although slowly, Godfrey swings a massive battle-ax to render severe AoE damage to any player or its NPC who comes in between. To overcome Godfrey’s waves of ax attacks, spam him with as many ashes of war as you could till he finally moves to the second phase. This phase is quick and lethal as hell! Godfrey instantly turns into a berserk, who aggressively jumps onto anyone he sees and slams them to the ground with just his bare fists. Closely learning his attack style while he finishes your NPCs and then using the correct Ashes Summons for the situation is the only way to proceed as he leaves absolutely no way to escape. We recommend using Storm Blade. Don’t go too far, instead opt for a mid-range approach, where you can also wield your weapon’s special attack. |
S | Cemetery Shade | Cemetery Shade will probably meet you in an open area of the Tombsward Catacombs. The dark creature is known for its melee attacks and how he constantly vanishes and reappears, making the fight even more intense. It will come closer to you, project a bunch of stabs, retreat, and repeat; hence be very careful, or the hits can kill you as instantly as ever. Cemetery Shade’s weakness is that he is very easy to parry. Exploit this weak point as much as you can by throwing parry at random in order to defend his hits and retaliate with yours. You can also take help by summoning spirits to engage Cemetery Shade while you work on inflicting damage. The critical tip is to constantly keep running, hiding, and jumping in order to avoid getting caught in this boss’s orb while looking for the right moment to attack. |
A | Rennala Queen of the Full Moon | The Queen of the Full Moon Demigod Boss, often only called Rennala, is found in the Academy of Raya Lucaria and is the last living member of the Carian Royal Family. Unlike the Demigod bosses we have been through until now, this one is unnecessary to beat, and you can still proceed to the next level. Rennala will fight players in two phases. The first phase is relatively easy. The boss will be floating in a ball of light that only comes to your level when you have finished killing a couple of mini demons. Next starts phase 2, which is perhaps the only reason Rennala has been ranked in the A-Tier, or else her phase 1 would have languished the boss to the last tier. Try sticking as close to her in this phase as possible because her long-reach attacks are more potent than the short-ranged ones. Plus, it’s indispensable to keep Rennella on the screen all time as she keeps sending brutal spirits after you, including wolves and giant demons. Don’t get distracted from them, and keep a close eye on Rennela’s attack pattern to find gaps to retaliate until her health finishes. |
A | Ancestor Spirit | This is a terrifying horned boss of the Eldin Ring who arrives upon lighting the traditional braziers at specific circumstances. Though very massive in size, his moveset is extraordinarily agile and quick. Syncing with Ancestor Spirit’s super active stance is the best way to overcome him. When face-to-face with this boss, players will mostly see his jumping attacks which leaves a blue fire on the ground. Try your absolute best to stay at a distance from it, or you will receive a lot of damage in return. Once his jumping attacks are over, you have to encounter the boss’s head and horns that will be thrown at you to render substantial damage. Dodge these attacks while remaining close to the boss’s feet for inflicting quick strikes that may stagger him a bit. We recommend using only the speedy spell against him as the slow ones won’t do much due to Ancestor Spirit’s agility. NFC and Spirit Ashes can be summoned in case of this boss; hence make the most of it to diverge his attention and then attack with proper focus. |
B | Dragonkin Soldier | Like Rennela, Dragonkin Soldier is another optional Demigod that you may or may not fight depending on how much you enjoy facing challenges. He is primarily found in the gorgeous Siofra River. Though Dragonkin Soldier isn’t too exceptional all the time, a few of his sneaky attacks made here and there can keep even the expert players to the edge of their seats. His wide-sweeping frost lightning power attacks are easy to read and retaliate to. Use either the ranged attacks or Torrent for fighting against Dragonkin Soldier. However, if that doesn’t suit you, opt for a melee strategy instead. The trick here is to correctly position yourself at the back of your target’s leg. You can easily reach there by rolling through his leg, or else his eyes will keep chasing you. Once there, Dragonkin Soldier will dry, hitting you using his circular swing style but will miss, allowing you to continue attacking from behind. |
Elden Ring Great Enemy Tier List

Mini-Bosses of the Elden Ring are generally unique, more robust than average enemies that players usually meet halfway through the dungeons before encountering the main boss– Demigod.
Though Great Enemies (Mini-Bosses) are supposed to be less challenging than the Demigods they protect, it’s not a definite rule. Many of them will make you stand on your toes! Here is our Elden Ring Mini-Bosses Tier List.
Tier | Elden Ring Boss | Short Description |
S | Flying Dragon Agheel | Flying Dragon Agheel is an optional boss who will welcome you to the Church of Elleh. The boss is highly mobile and is backed by a massive health pool; hence it is preferred to deal him with only the high damage rendering weapons (ideally a +2 one) and awesome builds. Don’t even think of confronting him without a Torrent, as the boss lays flat only if players wield a Torrent. |
A | Margit, The Fell Omen | You will have to face this boss before meeting the Demigod, Margott. Hence assuming that you still aren’t experienced in dealing with Margott, Margit might be tricky. Otherwise, this boss isn’t giving expert players a hard time. You first need to defend and retaliate against his magical blade and wide-reaching staff he projects at you. The only way to miss these is to remain close to this boss and keep spamming your strikes whenever you see a gap in his attacks. Here, Ashes like Lone Wolf Ashes will help engage Margit while you wield the Jellyfish Ashes and Spirit to deal damage. Continue the same strategy even after he summons a giant hammer instead of its ordinary blade until its health bar chips off to zero. |
A | Decaying Ekzykes | This boss is a white dragon who guards the highway in the Caelid. Though Decaying Ekzykes is not necessary to be defeated in order to proceed further in the Elden Ring’s play, the rewards it packs are worth collecting. He gives off icy breaths to fight off players; hence you need to be very careful with that. Long-range spells such as Loretta’s Great bow are preferred for dealing with this boss while maintaining a safe distance from his icy breaths. When you find the boss distracted by your long-ranged attacks, get closer to the boss’s face via its enormous wings and wield bleed weapons like Reduvia to launch attacks on his head. Beware of his long tail that sweeps around, sending whatever comes in between straight into the air. |
B | Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella | You might be excited to adventure the underground waterways of the Eldin Ring, but be informed that there sits the Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella to repel you off. He is just like the Demigod version of Dragonkin Soldier, but this one only equips the frost lightning power. The strategy is the same as before, roll to the back of his legs and attack the boss at every possible situation till his health bar reaches the zero mark. |
B | Leonine Misbegotten | Leonine Misbegotten is a beast enemy hence lacks defense against fire. Therefore it is recommended to stock yourself with as many Fire Pots and Fire Grease as you can. Both of them will help you dish substantial amounts of damage to this boss. Nevertheless, this boss moves with pretty much agility and also hits hard in return which is why she is most likely to shatter your guard in a matter of just seconds. Therefore if you are a magic user, don’t rely on incantations and shielding only. You will be served best by rolling and jumping here and there using Leonine Misbegotten’s weakness: Fire. |
B | Red Wolf of Radagon | The Red Wolf of Radagon is a severely mobile boss of the Elden Ring that employs multiple magic spells to inflict the players with substantial damage. He also wields general swipes of his mouth, but that isn’t very lethal. This boss’s most significant drawback is his own HP: he doesn’t really have many of them. As such, it becomes very easy for you to defeat him. All you need is to figure out the correct positions to render him with some critical hits. As usual, we recommend using Ashes of War like the Lone Wolf to divert the boss while you do the actual work. |
B | Borealis the Freezing Fog | Borealis is a huge winged dragon that, similar to Decaying Ekzykes, sends icy breaths toward its foes to render massive damage. The boss lurks over the power of ice and can be encountered in the Mountaintops of Giants. Try using the boss’s wings to get closer to his face and attack his head as much as you can to chip off the health bar. |
B | Valiant Gargoyle | Another winged beast but this time far smaller than Decaying Ekzykes and Borealis. He switches between a battleax and sword to inflict damage to the players. It is preferred to cater to this boss via jumping attack while also using your horse. This strategy will not only give you more mobility but will also keep you away from Valiant Gargoyle’s continuous attacks. Employ Twinblade or a similar weapon and direct most of your attacks to his head while also using the Immunizing Horn Charm if the rot is pissing you off. |
Eldin Ring Field Bosses Tier List

Field bosses are another mighty breed of foes you need to deal with in the Elden Ring. They are strong but not like the Demigod Bosses. Field Bosses are well-equipped and sturdy enemies by whom players will mostly be greeted in the Lands Between. Below are Elden Ring Field Bosses that we rank.
Tier | Elden Ring Boss | Short Description |
S | Crucible knight | The Crucible Knight lurks in one of the hills of the Stormhill Evergaol. He has two phases to show like any other Elden Ring boss. The first phase is made of just stilted attacks and is easier to finish. In the second one, this boss unleashed its wings and a brutal tail. How to cheese him? Keep a safe distance from his ranged sword lunges and tail whipping while attacking with cleverly timed magic spells. |
S | Draconic Tree Sentinel | Draconic Tree Sentinel’s AoE attacks and the unusual act of summoning lightning from the sky make him one heck of a challenging Elden Ring Boss. We recommend summoning a friend where both of you combat him on foot to divert his attention. The key to dodging his horse spitting flames is rolling immediately as you see him dipping his shield. If unable to do that, deal damage on his shield side while also jumping to avoid the AoEs. |
S | Ulcerated Tree Spirit | The most excellent way to outclass the Ulcerated Tree Spirit field boss is to stick as near to him as possible and inflict critical damage whenever there’s a chance. However, stay protected from his sweeping tail attacks and don’t miss on dodging his paw smashes too. This boss will often conclude his attacks by breathing fire. Make the most of these moments for inputting enough damage that could fall him to the ground, allowing you to inflict a counterattack to his eyes. |
S | Royal Knight Loretta | She is a horseback knight who is pretty daunting to be outclassed easily. What makes Royal Knight Loretta, so challenging is her continuous wave of sorcery attacks. She also projects magic missiles from a halberd. However, they are much easier to dodge if you maintain a reasonable distance. Similar to other mounted bosses, this boss also hails the same weak point: the back of her horse. Try perishing the horse first in order to make Royal Knight Loretta more vulnerable to your attacks. Her second phase intensifies the magic attacks. Your only way out of this is to study the boss’s attack pattern and input your attacks whenever there’s a gap to chip Royal Knight Loretta’s health bar to zero. |
A | Mad Pumpkin Head | This boss has a huge wobbly metal head and employs a giant rod topped with a striking head that results in a considerable buildup of blood loss. The massive metal-head isn’t useless either; instead, Mad Pumpkin Head wields it to crush players. This makes him very aggressive, leaving a relatively narrow room for you to launch attacks. Therefore it’s recommended to attack him from close while circling him; however, beware of the shaky head that may come over you anytime. The boss’s weak point is his low health reserve; hence opt for sideways slashes to chip it off ultimately. |
A | Grafted Scion | The Grafted Scion has many limbs, unique combos, and a severely irritating scream. The best possible way out of the misery is to employ long-reach attacks while staying in his back with a shield to repel inevitable back smashes. Don’t just rely on dodging, as this will not work against Grafted Scion combos’ sheer speed and frequency. |
A | Demi-Human Chief | There are two of them, and it’s better two fight each separately. Both the Chiefs are incredibly aggressive; hence players would most likely need to summon the Old Knight Istvan at the very start of the game. The best trick to deal with the Demi-Human Cheif is spamming them with as many magic attacks as possible. If you aren’t good with maneuvering in magic mode, stick with melee attacks only as a long-reach approach won’t last long in front of this boss’s agility. |
A | Night’s Cavalry | This boss is also very aggressive, but you can still lay him down by staying far and rendering damage in gaps. Watch out for his horse’s quick side barges if you stay close or the jumping downward slash. Take advantage of him being horse mounted to hit the horse from the rear. Once the horse dies, Night’s Cavalry will become weaker and easier to defeat. |
A | Spirit-Caller Snail | Just as weird as his name, this boss is a snail accompanied by many Crucible Knights to fight you. A cherry on top: The Spirit-Caller Snail is himself a spirit, that too, an invisible one with a very minimal glow of light. What you need to do in order to deal with this boss is summon NPCs who’ll distract the Crucible Knights while you look for the Snail boss to chip off his health. |
A | Bloodhound Knight Darriwil | Bloodhound Knight Darriwil is aggressive for sure. To uppercut the player, this boss will scrape his claws along the ground, preceded by a flashy overhead slash. Staying at a safe distance while pondering the boss with long reach damage is the key. You don’t need to worry a lot about this boss as he is severely low on health reserves and won’t last longer than a few attacks. But don’t forget those few attacks are superbly lethal. |
B | Erdtree Burial Watchdog | You will most probably encounter him in the dungeons of the Church of Elleh. The boss isn’t very tricky to defeat. You just need to be careful in tackling his weirdly timed hovering attacks that may come straight towards you anytime and from anywhere. Perish the boss before that using as many Ashes of War you can. |
B | Stonedigger Troll | This boss is not more than a usual troll. In fact, he equips a somewhat weaker arsenal of weapons. Stay close to his legs while doing random back and forth motions between them. Look for the moment he is about to launch a downward smash and attack. |
B | Soldier of Godrick | Soldier of Godrick makes use of a greatsword and is relatively easy to outclass. He only has a running stab attack and nothing else to worry about. Counteract via a jumping-charged attack to take most of his health. |
B | Beastman of Farium Azula | Given that the boss doesn’t have much health on board, just staggering him with a couple of attacks while dodging and blocking his retaliation will get Beastman of Farium Azula down quickly. |
B | Tree Sentinel | If you know how to wield a torrent while riding a horse, Tree Sentinelis becomes no more of a challenge. Maintain a reasonable distance from his halberd and continue running past your horse to achieve a couple of hits on the boss’s shielded side. You could also employ a bunch of Rowa Raisins here. |
B | Black Knife Assassin | The Black Knight Assassin dwells in the dungeons of the Stormhill Warmaster’s Shack. Summon a mob in his case, and he will be down in no time. If you do not prefer that, use a colossal weapon instead. |
B | Ruin Golem | The Ruin Golem is not so tricky to kill if you stay near to his ankles while also dodging his stomps cleverly. During this time, slash his ankles as much as you can so the boss topples to give you an expansive room of striking his chest. |
B | Tibia Mariner | You will come across not one but a bunch of Tibia Mariners throughout your journey in the Lands Between. They become more stubborn after each encounter. Anyways, the best way out is to focus on the skeletons it summons after breaking out. Once defeated, engage with the boss employing your melee weapon or magic attacks. |
B | Demi-Human Queen Gilika | This wolf-like giant seems pretty scary at first, but she isn’t tough to beat at all. She will begin the fight with calm attacks; hence take maximum advantage of the moment to inflict as much damage as you can. This way, you don’t have to do much once she transforms into her more lethal form. Just make sure you dodge her downward smash attacks effectively, or the strategy will retaliate. |
B | Grave Warden Duelist | It’s better to be close to Grave Warden Duelist since a lot of his attacks just don’t output considerable damage if the target is right up in his face. As the name suggests, this boss is a dual-hammer gladiator who dwells in a chained room with many pillars. You can take advantage of these conditions and use Ashes like Lone Wolf Ashes to attack while remaining concealed behind pillars. |
Those were all the Elden Ring bosses we have encountered so far.
Our Criteria
In our Elden Ring tier list, we ranked nearly all the bosses according to their difficulty levels and how intense of an Elden Ring experience they give. Those with the most epic manifestation of action and mobility are graded before those who are easier to outclass and lack exceptional moves.
Our team will continue updating this post with new bosses as we advance through the intense storyline of the Elden Ring and encounter god-knows-how-many more epic bosses that the makers have packed within.
Rankings Based On Experience And Research
Our team did considerable web research to compare a dozen bosses that lurk around the fields and dungeons of the Elden Ring. Only then we started dividing all of them into tiers keeping bosses who are worth contesting for above and the others below.
We also considered opinions taken from expert Elden Ring players who have already been halfway through the storyline to include as many bosses and as much information about them as possible. If you find any boss missing, know that we might haven’t unleashed that part of the Elden Ring saga yet and hence will keep updating this tier list frequently.
Why Trust Us
Our team consists of experts as well as casual gamers, all of whom remain excited to make our readers aware of the most up-to-date pieces of game information. We do that by actively participating in games ourselves, and Elden Ring is no different. We have come up with this Elden Ring Bosses tier list with the least amount of bias we could have been.
A substantial amount of time was invested in order to put forth the most credible information for you. Tier lists have always been a subjective matter where differing opinions of individuals are common. Therefore we welcome you to further discussions about the Elden Ring bosses in the comments below.
