Far Cry 6
Far Cry 6 is the sixth mainline installment in Ubisoft’s Far Cry series and takes the tried-and-tested open-world exploration formula to the fictional Caribbean island of Yara. The setting sees the introduction of a new protagonist, Dani Rojas, who is a guerilla fighter struggling for the freedom of their people against the oppressive dictatorial regime of ‘El Presidente’ Antón Castillo, played by Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito. The gameplay focuses on satisfying combat with crazy makeshift weapons and on exploration in the vast open world. Yara is an exotic and lush island filled with chaos at every turn – there are people to interact with, areas to uncover, and enemy bases to capture. The story presents a dark portrayal of a modern-era dictatorship, brought to life by excellent characters. As such, the game makes good use of the traditional Far Cry tropes to deliver an engaging experience filled with brainless violence set in a beautiful world.
